This document does not raise any security considerations beyond those normally associated with URN storage and resolution. Note, however, that any URN scheme intended to allow secure resolution must provide for encryption of transmitted URN data. This point has been emphasised by Mark Fisher in a sequence of messages to the URI-WG mailing list.
